Speedway (11/19):
"We tested here a few weeks ago and it seemed like the track had
lost some of the grip that it had last year. Our team is bringing a brand
new truck and we should be pretty good. Last year we came down here fourth
in points and left second, so we know that anything can happen in this last
race. I wanted to be a little closer in the points, but we will just stick
to our game plan and see where it goes from there."
Dennis Setzer on his finish at Darlington
Raceway (11/12):
“The 43 (Josh Richeson) was probably on a little fresher tires than us
but he was a lapped truck. I waved him by going in to three but he got into
us going into four and spun us out while we were running up there in the
top-five. It is really unfortunate for Team Silverado. We had a pretty good
truck and kept working our way up through the field. We elected to stay out
there under what we thought would be the last yellow, everyone but Bobby
(Hamilton), Bobby, Jr. (Hamilton), Ted (Musgrave) and a couple others had
new tires left for that last stop. They had got by us and we were as far
back as we were going to go and had a pretty decent finish there but it
didn’t turn out that way.”
The Truck- “Pip”
“Pip” debuted at Michigan and looked to be headed to a 3rd place finish
before finishing 10th. Pip ran again at Nashville qualifying 4th and
finishing 19th. Pip scored his first top-ten finish in
Vegas and sat on the outside front row for the team’s best earned qualifying
effort of the season.
