“We are running the same truck at California this weekend that we
did in Vegas last week. It’s a good truck, probably our best chassis and
body, and we feel its going to be really good here at California. California
has been a good track for us over the past few seasons. We had a truck that
could have won here last year, but just got outrun by a couple of trucks in
the end. I am always impressed with this facility when we come here each
year. It’s a great place for the Craftsman Truck Series to compete.”
Dennis Setzer on his finish at Las Vegas
Motor Speedway (9/25):
“We had the best qualifying effort of the season at Las Vegas and had a
great truck. We got a little loose in the first run and weren’t much better
after some changes on the first stop, so we tightened the truck up. That
didn’t work either because the track got tighter and tighter, and our tires
were junk at the end of the race.”
The Truck- “Pip”
“Pip” debuted at Michigan and looked to be headed to a 3rd place finish
before finishing 10th. Pip ran again at Nashville qualifying 4th and
finishing 19th. Pip just scored his first top-ten finish last weekend in
Vegas and sat on the outside front row for the team’s best earned qualifying
effort of the season.
