SPRAGUE PHOENIX INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY QUOTES
Phoenix has always been one of my favorite tracks
to run in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. It seems to really suit my
driving style and I have been fortunate to win a few poles and races
there. I havent race there since 2002 so I am looking forward to being
back there in the Chevy Trucks Silverado for the Silverado race. We had
certainly had hoped to have more wins under our belts and have our Chevy
Trucks Silverado team higher in the points by the time we reached the
Phoenix race this season but this has been a building year for us.
Phoenix is a good place for me and for our team to really set the tone
for next season. We are determined to stay in the top-ten in points but
we really want the race wins to build momentum for next season.
It will be like the old days having Hornaday back in a Chevrolet truck
as well as part of our Team Silverado. I am looking forward to racing
against my old buddy again. We had some great battles on the track
throughout the years and developed a great friendship off the track.
Phoenix was one of the places that either he or I seemed to win and the
other ran second for several years. It will be a fun weekend for all of
us.
